Something Simple - Turning your computer off

I've lost track of the number of urgent phone calls that have come in related to a client's inability to turn their computer off. IT'S FROZEN! Help! Help! So, here's the answer; hold in the power button for a slow count of five. The screen will eventually go blank. Release your hold on the power button and then gently press and release it. The computer will magically turn back on again and everything should be fine. Please note -- only attempt this method of turning the computer off if it is frozen. All other times click on Start - Shut Down etc.
